After last years amazing turnout with a close to sold out weekend and two days of heartwarming and sometimes stopping bands  we are so much looking forward to the 4th birthday of our little puppy called Reverberation Festival in Dresden.

The first bands are booked and the spirit departures again. To get a little impression of last year we got some impressions of our third edition 2018 you can find in the about-section and enjoy click through.

The whole team is looking forward to see you guys all again.

For the fourth time the Dresden Psych Family e.V. presents the Reverberation Festival and celebrates the diversity of psychedelic music and art. This year the happening expands to three days in two different venues, where we will present a line-up reaching from local and international bands to art-installations, small theatre improvisations and DJ’s. We want to provide a (con)temporary space and frame for people from different worlds to find together and enjoy being alive and thinking about everything that brings us together. We are all part of the valley of Dresden and want to show another facet of cultural and social life.

We are currently organising some warm-up shows in january and february. Stay updated on our social channels and here on our website.

24th January // 8mm Bar Berlin

Based at „Mamma Leone Records“ NOWAVES are the reincarnation of the original New-York-Sound of 1979. Just like that they are great at not letting anybody know too much about themselves. You will have to see and hear for yourself. We are happy to have them at Berlins 8mm nest and play some records after their show.

Hallelujah Mother Helpers + Sufre
26th January // Kasarna Karlin Prag
Hallelujah Mother Helpers (HMH) were formed in 2016 in La Chaux-de-Fonds Switzerland, the highest city of Europe. The less oxygen the members get from the height of their hills, the more intensive the songs they receive. What does that mean?
The band consists of parts of The Come n’Go, Love Cans, Nuclear Cookery and other forms of redundant forms of expression. Including drawings and photography by local artist Stephanie Steffen, HMH give their maximum into their music which is Rock N’Roll-Blues-Psych ! Maximum can also mean minimum!
Sufre is a band made of friends that wanna play some fucken punk with feeling.

Go!Zilla + Culture Club Disco
22nd February // Ostpol Dresden
Modern Jungle’s Prisoners is the Go!Zilla comeback record after 2 years from the last release. Is the beginning of a new sound adventure for the 5 italians – formed by Luca Landi (voice and guitar), Mattia Biagiotti (guitar), Fabio Ricciolo (drum), Niccolò Odori (Synth and percussions) and Federico Sereni (bass) – from the psych rock to the search of new sound territories to give life to a concept album about the mental captivity in the urban jungle.

The Mauskovic Dance Band

The Mauskovic Dance Band combines elements of cumbia, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, & space disco in equal measure to create a unique hypnotic groove. The group is the brainchild of Nicola Mauskovic, Amsterdam based producer and multi-instrumentalist. The Mauskovic Dance Band is:Nicola Mauskovic, Donnie Mauskovic, Em Nix Mauskovic, Mano Mauskovic, and Juan Hundred.

Fenster is Elias Hock (DE) Jonathan Jarzyna (DE), Lucas Ufo (FR) and JJ Weihl (USA). Their mission in creating this album was to compose and arrange every song together in a room. It is an experiment in collective creativity that pushed all of them to transcend their individuality and create something together which is greater than the sum of its parts.

“The Room”, Fenster’s fourth album and their first release on Altin Village & Mine marks the beginning of a new chapter for the band. After releasing three albums, a feature length film, and touring extensively throughout Europe and North America since 2012, “The Room” serves as an entry point into their sonic evolution. The essential characteristic of the band is transformation – within and between genres, albums, and songs. Their sound is a window framing psychedelic, groovy, hypnogogic, playful pop.

Ouzo Bazooka

Ouzo Bazooka was formed in Tel Aviv, a city with its own unique lifestyle, where one can feel that the vibrant urban scene is driven by cultural coexistence and vigorous creation. Drawing influences from this melting pot and exotic Middle Eastern feel, along with classic hard rock, psychedelic art, garage rock and surf – Ouzo Bazooka’s sound is a dizzying concoction of east meets west.

New Candys

Worldwide acclaimed as one of the best rock’n’roll emerging band around, New Candys are always looking forward to be on the road! Tour in Australia in February 2018 and a US one in April 2018 brought the band to record a live studio session for the legendary KEXP!

Hailing from Venice, Italy, New Candys formed in 2008. Described as dark modern rock’n’roll, the band combines noisy, brooding sounds with distinct melodies and has developed a notably dynamic and symbiotic connection between their music and meticulously crafted visual imagery. The band consists of Fernando Nuti, Andrea Volpato, Alessandro Boschiero and Dario Lucchesi.

Released in 2012, their first studio album ”Stars Reach The Abyss”, mastered by Jon Astley, brought the band on tour in England and Italy. The song “Meltdown Corp.” was included in the annual compilation “The Reverb Conspiracy”, co-released by the highly revered independent label Fuzz Club and The Reverberation Appreciation Society (Levitation Austin). In 2015 their second studio album “As Medicine”, mixed by John Wills of Loop, was released through Picture In My Ear and Fuzz Club and distributed by The Committee To Keep Music Evil. In the next two years the band toured Europe three times, also performing at the Secret Garden Party and Liverpool Psych Fest. They supported bands such as Slowdive, The Vaccines, Savages, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and The Warlocks.

The power trio lined up on the front of the stage delivers a mighty wall of sound that sets ground on space rock grooves to get to those garage kraut drives carved with alienated psychobilly inspired vocals reminiscing of King Gizzard and The Lizzard Wizzard or Thee Oh Sees.

Kamala knows what it means to take a dive into the world of psychedelic music and breath the ideals of love and freedom. There is a bigger reason for this symbiotic gathering and you will witness why.

Tik Tu

One of the most promising acts making music in Ukraine right now is Tik Tu. Their combination of space sounds and harmonies as well as grooves and folkloric element results in misty yet fresh and exciting sound that drags you into its very own spheres.

It all started in 2012 when Sara, Evangelos and Angelos found themselves in a hyped Athenian bar and decided to start a band that a few minutes later named it CHICKN. After a couple of rehearsals, an EP (“She’s got a CHICKN to ride”, self released cassette – 2012) – two weeks later, Angelos took this whole incident characteristically seriously and actually started that band because it felt right from the very first sound CHICKN ever produced.

It has been six years of experimentation, nuclear gigs and two dozens of people forming, destroying and re-forming CHICKN. WOWSERS!, is the love child of that ever-changing line-up. Long story short; Angelos (thoughts and prayers) still fronts the band while Pantelis switched from percussion to drums. At a pivotal point of loneliness they invited Chris to jam with them, who at the time was working at the studio where CHICKN were rehearsing. It took an instant and he was on. Just before they started rehearsing for the recording sessions they were joined by two old-timers, bassist extraordinaire Axios Zafeirakos and sensational multi-instrumentalist Haris Neilas as well as  a new maverick, free jazz trumpetist Don Stavrinos.
